  1. Mr Bumpkin, I think you understand women rather well. Good advice I'd say.

  2. Funny my wife swears the Multistrada is the most comfortable bike we’ve had, I’m a lot taller than my wife and we are on a V4S.

My favourite aftermarket seat is a Corbin, I have done many miles on them, nut haven’t bothered on the Multistrada

  3. She’s fine with the seat apart from not being heated and she thinks the skyhook suspension is more comfortable then the tigers, it’s just the wind bashing mainly!

  4. I have Ducati Performance Touratech seats, both rider and pillion. On the 1260 these make a significant difference for me as rider. Would have been churlish to have not indulged GF with the same. No complaints from her, though she didn't get the chance to try the OEM pillion seat. Unfortunately these are a fairly rare find these days. Took them off the wreckage of my old 1260, yet to fit them to the Pikes Peak, the std. seat on that seems better than the stock one on the 1260s but the DP seats will go on at some point.

  5. I was buying one form a guy locally (he decided not to sell) for 5.5k. Mint, 9k miles S with luggage. He’d been offered 3 grand my serval dealers. This was in the summer.

6k seemed to be the price when I looked around, many dealers were selling with few more miles for 7-7.5k so without dealer premium. Of you need it gone less than 6

  6. wow that’s cheap mate, maybe he thought best to keep it at that price, a lot of bike for the money I think these bikes compared to others at those prices.
I think a quick sale I’d get 5500-6000 but if I was in no rush I could get 7k as I know it’s mint compared to what I’ve seen about when I was looking and low miles too.
I think I’m going to keep it for another year as I have plans with a mate to get up to Scotland and Europe this year and I know if will be perfect for that, I bought all the givi boxes and quick fit pannier frames and haven’t even used them yet so plan on getting use of them this coming year along with a good ride up the mountain during the TT of Manx gp

  7. Exactly this, an MRA screen with a deflector and a Touratech comfort seat should see the job right. Also set up the preload correctly and ensure that the Skyhook is in its correct setting for you both (and luggage if being used).

Multi has been consistently voted best pillion perch by my other half, seeing off an S1000XR and two GS1200’s.
