A long shot, but does anyone have any battered, rusty, or otherwise scrap ST or Monster Steel tanks. They must be metal and have the fabricated integral round fuel filler aperture which takes the 105mm OD filler cap assembly. I think it’s only the 400/600/750/900 Monsters and ST range that had steel tanks with welded in aperture. The SS range had a simple hole and the complicated stuff was a separate Aluminium part. All I really need is the complete apertures with about an inch or so of the top of the tank metal around them. I need two for a little project I’m considering. Must be really cheap, obviously, but I’m looking for something that might be scrapped anyway.
I left a 93 monster tank with a friend quite a few months back to see if he could weld a wee bit for me. But he couldn’t sort.. it I'll contact him to see if he still has it, if he has your welcome to it.
Merry Christmas, apologies, only just seen this, I have an ST tank you're welcome to have, the base flange is suspect, appears it's been poorly repaired. Other than that it's fine.
