You're out of my area as i'd help you no problem, perhaps if you place a wanted trailer / help thread on here someone would / might come forward, lets face it christmas is bloody boring so folk need to do things.
Hi, I’m in stourport the bike is up just back Blackpool. Thanks for the offer, I’ve looked at Van hire, I have a ramp but short on straps.
43k but this looks pretty good to me.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116418644756?_skw=ducati&itmmeta=01JG17TKNZP4PP0PNQR0DBWNZN&hash=item1b1b178b14:g:TGMAAOSwQn1nW1nX&itmprp=enc:AQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx+KZ9MfhVJKkvBZ0DOg7/CspParyMKJLIFLQ4bnPCPzi6/gx92vujurnvsjVEtIc+sTikXocBe33JM9XufH+TM18LkPoijr8NSNfY+xBI0jKbQJJjj7YPcNd4sn22AB620znmM/Zitp6hbWNQ/q2NyWkGB5GiFMSI5qEVrPbv231Cn3SjTv5dJr0ztcz94HYDdKR2Jc4u5jvubmtXk27oMPifBH3xRH+q9K610KrDUJFpuodBNAtDN+lowry1detwN/N+/TtR4zGK6E/5Xc8Bb5TBQWRQqxT9|tkp:Bk9SR4q76qeAZQ
Looks like it needs sprockets and I’d confirm the rear shock bearing was replaced after it was mentioned on an MoT failure. I’d also check the tail tidy installation, the numberplate bulb looks to have failed on several occasions at MoT time which is just lazy. Exhaust advisory which might indicate no baffle although my MoT’er adds an advisory for any none OE exhaust. IMO, all down to the service history, an absolute must on time or mileage for the age and mileage. Andy
Tough crowd Andy! - last owner change was Nov 2022 so i would suggest that the first two (listed) rear number plate lamp fails were not under the current owners watch. Sprockets/chain to be confirmed on inspection surely going by the one picture available unless i missed a better one? None of above listed would put me off so far but only speaking for me. All i could spot were dark clutch fluid in clutch reservoir (par for the course), possibly slight wet witness marks on R/H Fork leg, front axle replaced with wrong orientation but again, not put off by any of these.
After 12 years of ownership and bigger mileage, I’m familiar with many of the small areas that can raise issues for a new owner. That’s not to say I wouldn’t recommend a 1200 Multistrada, I would just like any prospective buyer to go in with their eyes open Andy
When I compare that to the one I got from you Andy, I have to say I feel the price I paid you to be very fair indeed. To have a bike with a known history and owner who was 100% honest about what the good and bad points of a bike are was priceless for me. For the money that bike does look cheap, but I would much rather pay a bit more for a known quantity.
It’s up for a lot less than what all the salvage bikes eventually sold for when I was looking for one. That’s how I look at it, spend a bit on it (never bought a bike that didn’t need something) and it could be a good buy. I have the Gs now though so I’m not looking to buy anything.
It’s at good money, I’m not sure a number plate light not functioning would be enough to prevent me from purchasing a bike. Bought bikes and cars with known and unknown faults but not ever bought a complete Lemon yet.
