Generally I’m not a big film fan, but I do like the Christmas for old films. I tried Gavin & Stacey, but couldn’t cope with it. I did watch Wallace & Grommit, which I enjoyed and appreciated the work. I have also enjoyed 633 Squadron Guns of Navarone The Great Escape I’m sure there will be others to come. What have you enjoyed?
A little bit of trivia, the Death Star destruction by the rebels was influenced by the 633 squadron attack run among others. Not watched anything really, I’ve lost any span of attention not that I’ve ever had that much.
Me and Doris have different tastes when it comes to watching the TV. Subsequently I get to watch eff all
Probably the first year where I have literally watched nothing on TV or streaming services over Xmas. Also forgot to buy a copy of the Radio Times which I traditionally do, just to see what shite the BBC are putting out over the festive period. Just not feeling it this year for some reason. Roll on 2025
We in Bristol got to see Wallace & Gromit before Xmas day, last weekend. Good to see the new one on the big screen in our local 'Arts' cinema
Aside from F1, occasional bike racing, some boxing & election night results -which are all on "laptop tv"- I haven't seen anything for at least 30 years.
Saturday night on British tv at Xmas and the only sport option is a fat man’s pub game or the american rugby. Grim.
I watched the last 5 minutes of eastenders on Christmas night, before falling upstairs to bed. Haven’t watched it for about 20 years, on purpose, and am happy to see that we’ve missed absolutely nothing.
We watched Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare on Christmas Day, based on a true story, was a really good film
Stayed up late and watched Heretic last night. Was quite good, Hugh Grant was very convincing as a complete nut bag.
