Just an update for all you souls still waiting on tenterhooks: It wasn't the tube, There's no power going in. I seem to recall a switch and maybe a fused spur in the attic just above. So I opened the loft door and and there's a ladder conveniently attached to the loft hatch. But I find that my kinaickierd leg just cannot climb a ladder! That's a surprise Have to get a mate round tomorrow.
UPDATE 2 I can't use a meter! There was power going in but I was more stupid that usual and had the meter on the wrong setting, so fooled myself. It is the light unit that is faulty. New one ordered form Amazon and should be with me tomorrow.
Totally agree with the policy of weekly taking out £40 or so cash, the unelite want too destroy our society. With us having physical monies they cannot control or manipulate you via 'cashless' electronic synopsis.
And with American hookers being the subject of interest, I feel a bit stupid in ordering an Amazon Light, rather than an American Hooker. Although Amazon sell everything, I don't thing that you can get a hooker on next day delivery . . . . .
Are you fitting the front cover, when trying your new lamp? A lot of these have safety switches to stop you touching the live ends if the cover isn’t installed, just a thought.
I believe that there are microswitches inside the thing to stop the fun of removing the shade. And it maybe one or more are faulty. That is why the light stopped working months ago, but the shaver socket still worked as I used it to charge my toothbrush. And then the shaver socket stopped working, prompting me to look into things further. I've ordered a new unit to start again. At least the new one will have instructions, that I may break the habit of a lifetime and read them!
I think you are using the tinterweb incorrectly. I'm certain that hookers can be delivered, and sooner than tomorrow! Though perhaps not American ones....
if poss, try fitting the light unit then testing for power. if there when not fitted then disappears when fitted. you have a bad connection to the unit and or a switch fault.
