You never know how many inches you’ll get, or how long it will last and you used to enjoy it a lot more when you were younger.
We had Snow on and off all evening down here on the South Downs, and when I went to bed @12.30 there was a thin covering over everything outside. I was looking forward to waking up to a good covering and having a play with my Discovery towing Lady Nasher and the neighbours out of our Cul-de-sac before going to work. But unbelievably it actually warmed up overnight and it had all melted by 05.30, we didn't even have a Frost.
It's blooming cold here I had to help my girl unstick her car door Tea towel and hot water from kettle around the frame of said door and handle, 30 seconds opened Brrrrr
How do leccy cars cope with the snow when extreme cold kills the range and (I imagine) they need to have the heater on full blast?
Trigger Warning: the following content contains mansplaining. Careful of the windows though as the thermal shock can easily crack the glass.
You Beat me to it Z. I'm not sure if modern car glass is better, but certainly years ago you ran the risk of cracking something with hot water on a really cold morning.
Pour the hot water into a plastic bag, and rub the bag rapidly over the frosty windows. Don't hover long over one spot. Avoids cracked glass.
It wasn't on the glass as I'm aware of the thermal shock It was on the metal I use the same method on the R53 Warm the metal up it soon melts the ice to allow the window to drop Once the tea towel cools a little it does clear the side window well. tried and tested for 10 years
I thought you would, but you never know with you ladies as your heads are always so full of idle daydreaming about the latest Hollywood heartthrobs, cake recipes and which shade of lipstick matches your new frock.
