916 Rubber Grommit Identification Please

Discussion in '748 / 916 / 996 / 998' started by Martyn Edwards, Jan 13, 2025.

  1. Just working on the 916 over the last few days and found this rubber grommet on the floor under the bike. Can anybody enlighten me from where it might have come from please.

  4. Thanks for the suggestion but the grommet under the fuel cap is there so this one can't be that one.

  5. Dropped and easier to replace than locate

  6. Well nut off something??

  7. What’s the diameter? Looks like it could be the clutch or brake master actuator pin cover.

  8. I agree with the above. However, if yours is still fitted it could maybe have been dropped there by a previous owner?

  9. Good call on the actuator pin cover, though for it to have fallen out, it would have to have split, or has been said, the previous owner dropped it and it became lodged somewhere on the bike, when replacing it/servicing the master cylinder.

  10. Thanks chaps, it may, as you've suggested been accidentally left on/in the bike as it's not split. It may be the earlier discontinued version 066439741 rather than the current 62640131A
