That’s the reason then. Not ridden long enough, oil & engine not hot enough. Don’t worry about it, it will go with a long ride.
Spent half an hour trying to bump start the bike myself as it didnt fancy a cold start, before I said sod it and pushed the bike what felt like a mile to a nearby hill. Only for it to start on the button then
Renewed the Multi insurance ready for next month. Bennett’s were more than 50% over the last years premium (when I had zero no claims as being used in other bike), quick search and got it for about a third of Bennett’s quote. Crazy how they think people will cough up a couple of hundred more than they need to. Loyalty doesn’t pay in insurance.
My Carole Nash multi bike policy last year went from £582 to £2256 for no reason. Same bikes, no claims etc. with BeMoto now for just over seven hundred which seems far too much but better than over 2k or having to sell everything!
To be fair, I've never had a reasonable quote from bennetts, Carol nash, or even the "by bikers, for bikers" lot Every time I get quotes, the "specialist" bike insurers are always the most expensive
Bennett’s have been decent for me over the years. Not always the best but usually within range. This year’s quote of £340 against less than £130 is so far out I don’t understand it. The only thing that has changed is an extra year of NCD. What frustrates me is that I would love to be a loyal customer and stay with the same insurer for years but you just get ripped off if you do.
Hooked the charger up to the monster battery again to see if it it can recover it before buying another. Sure this battery is only years old.
Bought gecko rearsets for the hyper to replace the ducabike set, excited for them to be delivered. As well as had some replacement bolts arrive to replace the knackered ones on the bike
Moving bikes around to make room for a 1970’s 750 Norton Commando I’m going to be looking after for a while for a friend. Andy
