I've got SW Motech Pro Blaze saddlebags for my Monster and when they are not fitted, the mounting arms can be removed leaving just an unobtrusive clip each side by the pillion pegs mountings bolts. For the SF, they are a bit more ugly and removing/replacing the pillion pegs looks awkward. Any alternative recommendations please?
I tried a set of panniers but they didn't work because of my tail tidy (Evotech), so just bear that in mind for being a potential issue. In the end I went with the Kriega setup. I generally run no pillion pegs and the single seat setup, but for the 10 minutes it takes to change over to the pillion configuration to use it, I don't have an issue with it. https://kriega.com/sports/touring/panigalev4fit I went for a two night trip into the highlands with a US-10 drypack and it was ideal. I'd go for a larger pack if you're going to be doing much more than that though.
