  1. Always used phosphoric based rust converters in the past but today tried some DEOX-C (water based) rust remover today to remove rust from the holes and inner circle of some cast iron discs. It worked a treat after just 3 hours soaking. The friction area should clean up after some use. IMG_4666.jpeg IMG_4670.jpeg

  2. Used it last year on an '80s Suzuki GS1000 tank and it did a brilliant job. Found it worked a bit quicker/better with hot water. Overall would recommend it.

  3. Bilt Mamber has a really good range. IMO, their wheel cleaner is the best eco friendly one out their. Andy

  4. I used it in a few tank years ago and it worked well, as others said it worked better with warmer water though

  5. I’ve used it for tanks and various other parts, it’s good stuff.

  6. More tank use here too.

  7. The guy who set it up is Peter Hamber, he used to develop products for the North Sea oil rigs. What he doesn’t know about rust prevention/ treatment probably isn’t worth knowing. Probably sounds strange, but had the pleasure of chatting to him a few years ago about the stuff they make and it was genuinely fascinating how they approach the whole rustproof from start to finish. Their high zinc primer is amazing. They also do the Deox C in a gel you can just paint on and then cling film wrap and leave to work.

  8. I tried a citric acid/washing soda mix for rust removal after seeing this video, was impressed with the results after soaking some 50 year old car parts, they came up clean and have resisted flash rusting.

I wonder if the C in Deox-C is for citric acid?
