The important part, the bar used to block the rear wheel, is missing. I think you’d get a much better chance to sell your stand at this price if you sourced the bar before listing it. Or lower your price for an incomplete stand. Hope this helps.
Really.? Here's one on eBay, with the bar you say I really need to help it sell... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20524791...g7DZnt7aO2Sj06DLVX4AwHfM3EhoCNsY&gad_source=1 It's £199 in similar used condition. I think mine at half price is good value. I'm sure I can find a bit of pole and put a rubber grip on the end and charge a reasonable £50-75 on top.! Incidentally, I used a small block of wood between the rear brake pedal and underside of clutch housing which jammed on rear brake. Never had an issue torquing-up the rear wheel.
On my previous stand I thought the bar was crap. I went to loose the wheel nut with the bar in place and it bent the bar. My second stand has the bar and I don’t think I have ever used it.
Well, I have been using this type of stand on 916 and 998 rear wheels, torqued at 190 Nm, for the past 6 years and never bent it… I also have the opposite side symmetrical stand for the rear sprocket, works a treat. Over torqued rear wheel nut, may be? I was just trying to help. People looking for a period correct Gubellini Stand are usually looking for a complete one. There are more modern options available for those who don’t care about their stand behind a Gubellini or not. There also are similar Gubellini stands that came without this system.
If you’re trying to help why make comment on my stand.? You’ve done nothing but make disparaging remarks and then offer up advice that people should get another type of stand. This is a For Sale section. If people don’t want to buy it that’s up to them. I don’t need nor have I coveted your input.
