Congrats Justin, lovely things, Used to have the blue/silver version (no longer with me) but the black and gold has always been the looker imo .
When you attach the lower fairing to the top part what bolts, nuts and inserts (?) are you using ? Mine is recently back from paint and they don’t seem to fit together too well.
Just standard fare Paul with nyloc nuts, s/s washer but nylon washers on both inside and outside of paint work. In an attempt to stop fibreglass stress cracks, I had washers glassed in on the lower fairing mount holes, only time will tell if that's a success. Unless you had a repair done I would assume they should go back together as they came off? Can be a bit of a bugger and may need to jiggle about a bit.
My 500SL after some slight recomissioning. (fuel lines, brake lines, brake pads, Tomasselli clip-ons, fairing bolts, bar-end mirror and a, rare as hens teeth, jiffy! And last but not least, I changed the big and ugly orange front (Fiat 850 sedan) turn indicators for a bit less ugly Italian domestic versions in clear plastic.)
