Love that...blew my son and wifes mind when I explained that the L2 grange point (where the James Webb telescope is located) is approximately 1.5 million kms from earth! The Hubble is something like 600km
Yes. Mum had a new kitchen fitted. When she was out I took the chain off my z250 and popped it in the grease on top of the gas stove. After the appropriate time I lifted it off only for one of the nails you used to slide into either side of the handle came out. The entire contents landed in her brand new Lino. Luckily I could scrape it up with the nearest implement. Her fish slice. Cleared it all up. Rinsed the fish slice. Job done. She still doesn’t know.
I still use it on my italian 1950's bikes that use little pre o-ring chains. Wonderful stuff, but I heat them up with an old camping gas stove and hang them up in the garage so no dramas.
Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Saturn and the Moon. Uranus is between Jupiter and Venus but not bright enough to register.
Orion Nebula photo 114 Years apart The 1901 photo was taken by George Ritchey at Yerkes Observatory, using a 24 Inch (609mm) reflecting telescope. Proves the Americans are good for something!
Our Sun orbits the Milky Way every Sun 250 million years. The Milky Way is about 100,000 light-years across and 1,000 light-years thick.
