Ironically, I just sold my 1299...kept the Monster 1200R!! You'll love the 1299...but be careful. It's a beast. Enjoy!!
Welcome mate. Top tip ,when you get the bike home. Smash the mirrors off with a hammer. Then you will not have to worry about their fragility. Mine lasted a couple of months before the inevitable.
