Ducati Panigale V4 Main Frame (2020-2024)

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by DRR117, Dec 4, 2024.

  1. Looking for a main frame for a track build if anyone knows of one for sale anywhere? Can be a salvage frame, imported, blank from the factory race frame, but ideally needs to be straight and not missing large sections like the one on eBay for $4000 :joy: think a streetfighter frame will also work.

It’s the later frame I’m after with the cut outs on the side like the one in the picture below.

    Part number: 47023223AA

  2. I’d phone your local dealer, looking at the prices on Ducati parts uk online. The frame seems pretty cheap to me. A lot of the prices of parts I have ordered through moto Rapido seem to be very similar prices to what’s on this site

  3. Yeah the cost of the frame isn’t the issue. Since summer 2024 ducati will not sell a frame to anyone unless it’s to replace a damaged frame (and they want a lot of evidence along with the headstock) to even consider selling a replacement frame. Having ordered one through Ducati and then 2 months later finding out the reason it was never shipped was because they no longer sell ‘blank’ frames, not even to race teams by all accounts, hence why I popped a post on seeing if anyone had an old or even cat b frame somewhere gathering dust.

unfortunately I have a cat b bike (so everything apart from the frame) and even if I had all the parts to send to Ducati for them to replace the frame and stamp its original vin onto it… it’s a cat B, so as soon as it was stamped it would need destroying:joy:, so I’d end up in an infinite loop of stamping and destroying frames until Ducati lost interest or I ran out of money :joy:

  5. Because the frame was destroyed by the salvage yard, the frame was never mine. I bought the rest of the bike after it had been in a collision, but wasn’t allowed the frame as it had to be destroyed by law.

For clarity, it wasn’t me that totalled the bike. it was totalled by its previous owner.

I’ve managed to source a first gen 2019 frame that will do the job while I keep searching for the second gen frame (2020 onwards)

  6. Understand. Shame.

I have similar problem.. bike was salvaged in usa..then imported and registered in europe. Then i buy it and discover frame damage. What do you think, can i open case with ducati officials and request new frame ? Thanks

  7. If you have the frame and some proof of ownership / registration document, yeah I believe they will sell you a new frame in exchange for your damaged frame. I understand why they are doing it, it’s to stop people reframing bikes that have been destroyed or even stolen. If you contact your local Ducati dealer they will hopefully be able to explain the process to you, although it is still quite a new process so they might need to look into it.

  8. Other than colour, are there any more differences?

  9. Nothing us mere mortals will ever notice really. More flex in the later chassis which I’d certainly never notice. So yeah, just the colour…. Which can be remedied with some paint :grinning:
