On my 96 900SS I have exhausts that are badged as “Ducati MRA” but I can’t find anything about them online. Does anyone know anything about them? The left-hand pipe is starting to come apart (I think the rivets at the silencer inlet end have torn the carbon fibre outer) and wondered if I should try to repair it or if the parts are still available somewhere?
My advice, for what it’s worth, is to strip the damaged exhaust, cut enough length out of the outer tube to remove the damaged area completely, cut the inner baffle tube by the same amount, repack, reassemble and re-rivet. Repeat on the other side to match the lengths. This will make them good-as-new, slightly better looking and not measurably louder.
I considered this but when I took it off the bike the entire back side has been “repaired” with a slather of epoxy
