Thats what we like to hear! Possible we can start earlier, if we do land on running it on the Port Erin day the prom might be closed until about 3pm for all the market stalls etc - I'll look into that. We started at 5pm last year and at 10pm, when the bar shut (kind of) we were packed out.
I get mixed up with all the "Ports" - we were at one of them last year and it was packed....there was a live band there as well... if italian bike night was even half as busy it would be a success..!
There is a stage on the beach in Port Erin opposite the Bay Hotel (Pub) thats usually pretty busy every night during TT - its about 2 minutes walk round the corner from where we do the Italian Bike Night now Could have been Peel (maybe) on Peel day they close the road by the beach and have bands playing etc
Yeah - think it was Peel - we'd never caught that before in the years weve been going...great afternoon...!
Yeah, Peel have got a good day going on, nice bike displays too, couple of stages of decent music. I personally feel Port Erin should be doing the same..
We are looking into the possibility of people leaving bikes at FV overnight too - in case anyone wants to have a few drinks and then get a bus home. Bikes will be secure (inside) and can be picked up the next morning.
Not a drinker myself (so that aspect has never been an issue) - something i can never understand....if i was a drinker the last thing id be doing is drinking at a place where everything revolves round bikes and riding....riding past bus stops packed with people and im thinking (youd rather be on the bus stop than flying over the mountain as fast as you can!) - no contest...
totally get that - theres plenty of decent non alcoholic drinks at FV, and they have a decent coffee machine too
