I was also going to do the Sky VIP TNT for £29pm from end of March. It’s a two year contract. What if Liberty buy the MotoGP rights though as they’ve been trying to do and then take MotoGP away from TNT and run it as a separate standalone subscription like they do with Sky F1? Id then be stuck with paying for TNT and losing MotoGP
I called Discovery+ (immediate response btw) because of the TNT/WSBK change this weekend instead of 28Feb. I suggested that I wanted to leave Discovery+ because of the changes and was immediately offered 50%-discount-for-7-months for the Premium subscription (i.e. down to £15.49/month). Man maths made that sort-of ok and puts off the decision until Sept so I can check the ITV WSBK highlights show at my leisure...
Give 'em a call... 0330 0532288 and just tell them how pissed off you are. I certainly wasn't the first to call them about the cessation of Disco+ WSBK coverage this weekend... Edit: another number is 0800 0665855. You can try the 'Contact Us' robot thingy. At least it gave up quickly and offered me a call back, which took less than 5 minutes. @GarySN - the promo link they sent to me is only for new subscriptions, so make sure you mention that if you have a current £6.99/month thingy like I have. I'm hoping that this will be a quick fix their end, but they're taking their time to respond to my email... I'll phone them later if I haven't got it resolved. This is what I got when logged in on the website; there's no way to proceed if you're an existing subscriber... You can't manage this subscription and use the promo code
Thanks Keith. Unfortunately my basic Discovery+ access is courtesy of Sky, so no subs to complain about. Might give them a call anyway and see what they say.
Well...... on a long call with Support person with many try-this-code-to-redeem-50%-promo emails that didn't work, we had to cancel my existing subscription (not leave Disco+ entirely, so I still kept my account). After 4 goes, we got a code that worked using the 'Redeem A Voucher' box below the subscription GUI. So, as above - give 'em a call but make sure you stay on the line while trying what they suggest... Yes, I tried my (successful) code on another person's PC and it didn't work. Let's hope this weekend's action is worth it for £15.49/month...
Thanks for that, just cancelled my current Disc+ contract, it then immediately gave me the option for 7 months at £15.49 for the TNT Sports, which I took.
I wanted to watch the Australian round of World Superbike which TNT (Eurosport) would not show last weekend because of the merger and have held it over until after 28/02/25. So, I decided to purchase a month's subscription to the Dorna World Superbike app. I have to say once I figured it out it turned out to be a really good app. It is very comprehensive even down to being able to download timing and top speed sheets for practice and race results plus a host of other information. It also includes the Blu Cru championship and WCR where it's relevant for the years, see further down. I also found out I can watch it on the big screen by using a web browser with my Amazon Firecube and my ONN Android streaming box. It's a step up for me as I have Sky HD+ and can only record in SD because using HD recording takes up too much room and I run out of space very quickly. Although it's not perfect as I want to watch them all, I do prefer World Superbike over BSB and MotoGP, although it would be nice to have an app that would at least cover BSB on its own. After trying it out and being able to watch it on the big screen I might just be tempted to purchase a year's subscription because of the quality of the video and the comprehensive nature of the whole app. As a bonus, you can watch all previous World Superbike years going back to 1991! only two races available there. So all those classic races also seem to be available. My only complaint is the commentary is not up to Eurosport level and I do miss James Toselands insights. The cost is 60 Euros, which is about £58 odd per year or just over a £1 per week.
I’m confused why couldn’t you watch it on TNT @Red998 It was on all weekend? Think there’s been so much noise people are missing out on stuff that’s still there and available to watch (including the cycling which a lot more folk seem to be majorly pissed about)
There is a specific "No Spoiler" menu which takes you direct to race replays. That's full race not highlights, if that helps.
Must admit I just went by what I had read, which stated there was no airing of the Wsbk meeting until after the merger. Probably should have looked.
WUP means no commentary, which I didn't realise at first, it's just full coverage of the bikes going round. It does seem a bit strange.
I watched the highlights on itv4 last night for free. It was ok. Took a while to get used to the commentary team.
Were Steve English and an Irish-sounding commentator the ones, can't remember the Irish commentator's name. I was not greatly impressed by their commentating on the Official Wsbk app. unfortunately.
