Due to my tragic lack of racing talent I need to lose weight, failing that, the bike needs to lose weight I have been told there is such a thing as light weight wheels that fit a 2000 748R. There is a need to be "period compliant", so no carbon or recent stuff. The floating discs are more of an imaginary lap time enhancement. Let me know what you have please
Carbon for wheels is not « recent »… I have very light carbon/mag Dymags from 2003 that I use for my 916. Wouldn’t that be « period correct » for your application ? Else, Marchesini mags on Tamburinis go back to 1995, I think.
Correct. It’s only the front that differs from the other 5 spokes. You can see the spokes are ‘shaved’ on @cookster wheel compared to a standard 5 spoke front.
