748r Light Weight Wheels With Floating Discs.

  1. Due to my tragic lack of racing talent I need to lose weight, failing that, the bike needs to lose weight
I have been told there is such a thing as light weight wheels that fit a 2000 748R.
There is a need to be "period compliant", so no carbon or recent stuff.
The floating discs are more of an imaginary lap time enhancement.
Let me know what you have please :D

  2. Carbon for wheels is not « recent »… I have very light carbon/mag Dymags from 2003 that I use for my 916.

Wouldn’t that be « period correct » for your application ? Else, Marchesini mags on Tamburinis go back to 1995, I think.

  3. Carbon wheels are period correct.

  4. Floating discs were only fitted on earlier bikes like the 784SPS and I believe other models before.

  5. Earlier is fine.......

  6. This is what you want mate....

  7. Correct. It’s only the front that differs from the other 5 spokes. You can see the spokes are ‘shaved’ on @cookster wheel compared to a standard 5 spoke front.
