I took delivery of my new (to me) Multistrada Rally on the 2nd February and so far I’ve managed to roll it out of the garage and start it before reversing the process. I want this winter over, the salt to be washed away and to once again experience the thrill of the V4 without a huge cleanup afterwards. I’m lucky I have a winter hack but it needs work and we are going to Canada mid March for a week. I can see I sound like a whining child but I’m frustrated and may have to fit some accessories to keep me occupied. A bacon sandwich might help, enjoy your Sunday.
Did you miss the sunshine & 15C warmth yesterday (Sat)?? It was gorgeous here in Bristol. Shite again today tho', but sunshine is forecast towards the end of the week...
Mid March is a week of dry and sunny weather 15-18 degrees too. Enjoy the snow in the 51st state of America.
Yesterday was the first time in weeks I got out on my bicycle, I rode 22 miles and spent 45 minutes cleaning the crap off of it. I have been out on the old BMW most weeks, but the roads need to improve significantly before I get the Rally out.
Move somewhere warmer and drier. Just spent two weeks in our French house and riding out there was 1000% better than here. Dry pot hole free roads with very little traffic, its like another world.
i was out walking GlenOgle three weeks back, a dullish day but strangely warm. there was lots of bikes out. the lad was out on his last week.
it is a bit shit, sometimes you wonder if its worth owning a bike, especially when its particularly dire and all you want is a nice dry blast i believe in riding through the winter, just to get out and prevent the bike from sitting doing nothing. did about 20 miles boxing day, it was freezing and foggy, not fun, but glad i did did about 40 miles a few weeks ago, filled up with fuel, the last time was in November and then of course a cup of tea and sarnie while you wash the shite off and have a little tinker
Those were the days. Riding almost every weekend even when places had snow on the sides of the road. Remember meeting a member for a ride out over towards Salisbury and we saw -3 on the dash and weren’t hanging around…these days I get taken the piss out of for having two bikes sat in the garage looking sad
It’s not the EU causing the problem, it’s Britain leaving the EU. Had we still been in, you could have moved where you want.
They do stop counties trying to resolve the issue tho. Although I agree broadly I could have moved there easily
Not at all. In fact the EU offered UK citizens better travel terms but the UK government of the time turned it down. Brexit was a con.
