Its possible -as I mentioned earlier- they are subject to in some circumstances tax breaks/ write offs. And thats great for those that fit into those circumstances.
Surely only cheaper for the 'user', not overall, because the business is the 'owner' - picking up servicing (whatever that measn for an EV), etc costs and possibly a lot of the charging costs too...
It’s not waiting 20 min to charge, its waiting an hour or more to access a charger that concerns me along with the cost that, if as reported in many, many YT vlogs, is way more than petrol (never mind diesel) for the miles you get out if it. I’m looking at Q3 e-trons now….
Not necessarily as a company van it has nothing like the range and depreciate more and as a company car if you do lots of miles you will pay more than you get back in expenses according to a few I know who have caught a bit of a cold on their. Bik is great: mileage rates poor
Cheaper for the company too. 100% of the cost claimed back in the first year (ICEs will be a maximum of 18% and probably less) cheaper BIK for the user and thus cheaper Class 1a Nic costs for the company, much cheaper servicing costs and running costs. It's a no brainer for a company owner.
When sold they pay corp tax on any amount sold for, and it needs to be cash or hire purchase. That’s a lot of capital
If you buy a company ICE that is only claimed at special rate allowance, you will never be able to claim the full price as tax allowable. Not sure what you mean by 'cash or hp'. PCP works the same way.
with panniers…for touring…lol. 275km range, up to.. A sporty one might be ok for Sunday morning runs though. Time to open a biker cafe with charging points ?
Zero seem to be the only ones making a usable electric motorbike. There is a German guy on YouTube that is going around the world on one.
They look excellent for touring. Be able to take a kettle and electric toaster on tour. Just need an adapter socket..
Stark Varg which whilst a slightly different take, works well and isn’t out of the reach of the many. I think they do a road legal enduro version now.
