No Bsb Or Wsbk On Eurosport For 2025

  1. Oh god not that Craig something or other who used to advertise double glazing? Thought he’d been put out to pasture ages ago.

  2. I think Steve English might be the one with the Irish Accent as I see he went to Dublin University, in which case I have no idea who the other person is. They certainly don't inject much excitement or mechanical knowledge into their commentating. It's very matter-of-fact.

  3. Yes that sounds about right. Never heard them before.

Just called Sky to see if they’d do a better deal than £29pm for TNT. Guy said they’ve had loads of calls from pissed off customers re Eurosport bikes going to TNT.
He said he didn’t have any deals and it was showing as £30 for TNT. Couldn’t have seemed less interested, very noisy background which made it very hard to hear him. Tried to sell me Sky Sports and movies instead.

  4. WUP means Warm Up, it's the warm up session, never watched it but I would expect commentary.

The "No Spoiler" applies to the video title, if you navigate via the Video menu then you see the video title which often says who won so the No Spoiler menu just takes you direct to the video.

  5. Bear in mind there are 22 race weekends in MotoGP, only 12 in WSBK.
Also the video in MotoGP is via an app which is a much better experience than the video in WSBK in via a website browser.

From my bank statement, MotoGP was £169 (for 22), WSBK was £58 (for 12).

I find both preferable to a TNT subscription, just paying for what I want and not having to pay for the champions league.
I was worried at first because I have spent years just recording it on my Sky box but streaming is working out just fine.

  6. Yes, I am very close to cutting my ties with Sky. Given that I'd be watching on demand via the TNT app (for BSB and footy as well as MotoGP and SBK), the lack of recording ability is looking less of an issue. One thing preventing me cutting the cord is that if I switch to on-demand viewing from the terrestrial providers, I have to sucbscribe to their apps or put up with ads. Having said that, ITVX and Channel 4 subs combined would be £100 per year...

  7. If you cancel Sky, you can still use the Sky box for free to air TV such as BBC ITV etc

Sky have an exclusive contract for F1 in the UK so F1's equivalent to a videopass (called F1 TV) is blocked in Britain so I have to keep Sky Sports for F1.

  8. I think that as I have Sky Q I have to send their kit back on cancellation.

  9. I believe you have to as it's part of the contract I looked at getting Sky Q and I am not keen on some of the aspects of it. Particularly if you go for the free installation offer where, apparently, they give you an older model box with less capacity to store recordings.

  10. They've pulled support on Sky+HD now and I’ve been getting emails to encourage me to go to Q.

My mate's had it a few years - he hates it. Says the only decent thing is the recording capacity. From what I’ve seen, the interface seems overly complicated.

If anything happens with my box (and has 2 or 3 times), i buy a 2nd hand/refurbed one off eBay for abt £40, although given I have a ‘special’ firestick and subs to Disco+, Netflix, Amazon etc as well as the free streaming services, I may well bin it.

  11. I have a sideloaded Firecube and an ONN streaming box and use Syncler+ which is a paid-for app and it allows me to watch pretty much everything I want with regards to TV Series and current movies and it's only $15 per year for 5 devices but you need a debrid account of some sort to pull in the links, which costs extra.

Unfortunately the above does not include any sports and as I am very adverse to Sky Q at this moment in time I can't quite see myself springing an extra £30 per month to watch bike racing alone.

I might just go for a Wsbk subscription and watch the catch-up for the others when they become available. A bit of an unhappy situation overall with TNT having an effective monopoly.
