Unfortunately the time has come to sell my much loved, and well looked after S1000 XR. It’s a 2016 Model year gen 1, and I purchased the bike from BMW Aberdeen under extended warranty in 2019 with 8000 miles. It’s been a very reliable bike ,and I’ve loved every mile I’ve put on it under my ownership where it now sits at just over 27,000 miles. I’ve serviced the bike myself every year without fail with all receipts in file, and it had the major service at 18K with valve check carried out at BMW Aberdeen. Have always used genuine BMW 5W40 oil. The following extras will remain fitted to the bike : SW Motech Crash Bars EP Radiator and Oil cooler guards Evotech Bar End Weights Additional Daytime running lights MRA Vario Screen Givi tank bag Top Box ( BMW Vario box ) Tyres fitted are Michelin Road Sport 6 front ,and Road 5 Rear. The Rear is only just broken in ,but front tyre will probably need changed in next couple of thousand miles. DID chain and JT sprockets in good condition. Manual Cam chain tensioner fitted. There is one small scuff on the offside bar end weight as shown on photo. MOT valid until June 2025. Currently SORN. I also have a set of Givi 37 Ltr outback Trekker panniers with rack available under separate negotiation. Looking for £6600 ovno . Any questions please fire away. Thanks.
good luck with sale they seem to age well. i bought a new one in 2016 and sold 2019 with 26,000 miles and it looked like new .i missed it so much that 6 months later i bought a low mile 2019 triple black thats now on 21,000miles I'm not letting this one go.i have tried the new TE models when having mine serviced but i don't like them
Thanks. I really don't want it to go ,but circumstances dictate that it’s not going to get the use it deserves. It’s never failed to put that smile on my face and for a Beemer it has a lot of character in Gen 1 guise I’d say.
