Hi, I recently moved from the fairly arid environments of Los Angeles and the mountains of Colorado to Portland, UK. Pretty sure my garage is a few feet below sea level at high tide. With so much humidity I think it is wise to flush brakes and clutch more than once a year. Can you tell me what metric size clear hose you use to bleed with? Thanks FYI its for a 2012 848
You do you, but I really wouldn’t bother. I have a couple of mates on Portland and they certainly don’t. If you check online you’ll see that the humidity isn’t any higher than the rest of the UK.
Get yourself one of these, https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=brake+...4f&tag=googhydr-21&ref=pd_sl_6uz5ubfe0i_e_p69, if it gives you that much concern. Any high street motor factors should have pre cut lengths of the correct pipe. Andy
We have one in the village that’s been there for 30 years, currently trading under the name of Nappa and we have Motor Parts Direct in Basingstoke Andy
there's one in Weymouth slightly off topic, makes you wonder how long Halfords will last i'm predicting a sale to somebody from Dragons' Den etc before fizzling out.
I am amazed at how an entire country can get their clothes dry in the winter Thanks Andy for the brake fluid tester, it's ordered! I've never seen one before. Thanks also for the Auto Parts Direct recommendation, I was hoping that Halford's wasn't my only option in my area. They are all very nice but it is much easier to not ask any questions and just go home and order online. On a better note, I have never understood the need for heated grips. I put them on both mine and my wife's bikes this weekend and went for a nice long ride on Saturday with toasty warm fingers...brilliant, I get it now!
