Another A Boring Thread

  1. Today, I have just spent about three hours applying for my new Blue Badge. Complicated stuff here for somebody who is incredibly slow to think, find, and do.

We shall see what I get for my £10!

My days are filled with fun!:confounded::pensive::weary_face:

  3. Every action with the government is very hard work. Currently trying to reclaim over paid tax on pension fund. There are 3 distinct separate forms to fill in on the internet from HMRC ready to download. Spent a lot of time reading the screen but still unsure which form was aimed at my exact circumstances. Reluctantly phoned HMRC. when finally put through to an adviser who didn’t know, she put me on hold to ask a supervisor. The answer came back as. YOU CAN USE ANY OF THE THREE. Ffs what’s the point of 3 different forms with differing questions, if any one of them will do? Often when I’m stuck my whole digital experience is similar.

  4. Speaking of your fun filled days @PerryL did I see in one of the threads that you have a 390 Duke?

  5. I do have a 390 Duke and I am happy with it. I am going to get a Pani V2 next but I wanna give it a few more years on the KTM. I can afford both but garage space is a bit limited, so it is best (and sensible) tp wait a few years.

  6. Glad that you are enjoying it. Did you buy it new?

  7. Yes. I part-exed my KTM rc390 as I found the rc390 difficult to get on and off with the rear seat hump affair. Ironically, when I rode it for the last time back to Fowlers to collect the Duke, I found it fine. Was that just getting better? Nobody knows. Anyway the Duke, which has the same engine as the rc390, I picked as it didn't have the mad seat hump so I can get on and off easily. I find the 390 Duke does all I want and is a good bike, so I wanna keep it for a bit. The plan is to get my ST3 back on the road, and that will be for keeps.

That was going to be my last ever bike, but now a Panigale V-Twin looks like it will be my next bike.

And that will be back to three Ducatis in the garage - as God intended:motorcycleduc::):):).

  9. I haven't ridden one... I was wondering if you find the engine vibration -as its a single- a a little annoying as you are a twin guy usually?

Re the RC390, anything else you didn't like about it?

What do you think to the quality of finish?

  10. I wouldn't say it is the same quality as Ducati, but not far off and still better than Jap.

The rc390 was OK and with later models, I think they reigned back on the crazy pillion seat.

    I would have one again.

  11. Thanks! Thats really interesting and as you have had all of them (and still do) but don't have an axe to grind thats exactly the POV I was hoping for.

  12. Just got a pic of the 2024 model and that does look more sensible than the one I had. If the plan wasn't to get a Pani V2 in a few years time, then I would definitely consider this, but the Duke is perfectly OK for me.
