Good afternoon all, After a ride-out today in the glorious spring sunshine and on my way back home I noticed that the screen on my V4 is covered in shatter marks, I say marks as it doesn't actually look like its actually shattered but it is clearly visible, pics included, the bike has only covered just over a thousand miles although it is a 2020 model which I purchased last June from the bike specialists and as the 3 month warranty has clearly ran out I do not believe they will do anything about it now nor would Ducati themselves, so I am appealing to anyone who knows where I can get a new screen either fitted or if one of these can be purchased, where to get one and to fit myself. I have seen casing's for these which look like the screen is a part of it on Ali-Express, don't know if there any good as I would prefer a genuine Duc screen. Hopefully someone on here can point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance Tim
Did a swap on my 899 with an aliexpress special, there’s a thread on here somewhere. The part was close enough to the oem that it was unnoticable
Thanks for your reply, did you have to get the dealer to reprogramme unit after this was installed or was it a simple plug and play.
It’s just a plastic shell that covers the dash, prise it open and drop it in. I’ll find the thread in a sec
I had to do the screen swap on my 1299. AliExpress unit is really good. Make sure you use plenty of heat to loosen up the glue on the old dash before prizing it open. Main thing is take your time.
Ducati replaced mines out of warranty free but I paid for labour. Worth speaking to them if it has full Ducati service history
Thanks for your input buddy, I will look into this as I was under the impression that Ducati would not entertain this if the bike is out of warranty but it is certainly worth getting in touch with them. Cheers
