The omens dont look that great for an exciting spectacle this weekend in the top class (feel like i'm going to be saying that a lot this season) but you never know etc...
Just realised the best thing about Argentina (and then COTA in a couple of weeks) is we'll have racing on Sunday night, which is obviously an absolute joy.
However, while the Thai GP was preceded by two days of testing, there have been no MotoGP laps in Argentina since early 2023. As such, team director Gino Borsoi feels Termas will be ‘the first real race weekend’ where they must find a competitive set-up by the end of Friday practice to ensure direct access to Qualifying 2. https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1064784/1/pramac-yamaha-consider-argentina-motogp-first-real-race Can’t for the life of me think who’s going to be fastest on a dusty track that no one’s raced for two years. On the best bike.
Oh no, might have to miss Songs of praise… Marc, Alex, Morbid, Bez, Ogura…maybe Acosta getting in the mix, if he can keep it upright. He gotta learn soon that dnfs dont get points. Baggy, nearly forgot him. Cant imagine why lol, gotta be top 4. If he doesnt bugger up quali by leaving it too late.
Certainly be interesting to see if Ogura can repeat Buriram. Would also suggest Digi has to come good on the other GP 25 bike at some point. I’d also like to see and think Zarco or one of theee Onda’s will be in the mix with those listed too. Did you do a fantasy league thing this year? I’m only in moto matters one shout if u want a code.
Missing the first four rounds, that’s fkn really shit. https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/1064811/1/jorge-martin-injury-update-out-austin-motogp-qatar-doubt
I rate Digi, he was still inpain from an injury I think in the last round. So depends on fitness, then he should be top 6.
Let’s face it MM is going to be 150 points clear before the current champion even gets back on a bike. Hand him the title now. Only thing that will make the series slightly interesting this year (and I say that with tongue firmly planted in cheek), is his brother.
Pecco first out and still only manages 16th, wow. Zarco 2nd! https://www.crash.net/motogp/result...a-termas-de-rio-hondo-friday-practice-results
Not a single crash across all three classes this *morning. On a damp, drying track with jd96 over a second and a half clear of the whole m2 field at one point. #scenes
JD96 just broken the outright moto 2 lap record by over .2 with over half an hour to go on day one. Definitely not a “dusty track”.
All time track record for MM. But competition is there. Digi did very well. The Bagpus not a happy bunny…… again.
I’m looking forward to moto 2 and 3 qualifying in a bit. Don’t want to jinx anything but jd96 looks a class above the whole field so far this weekend and wee oggy doing his thing in m3 rather well too. As for the “main spectacle” nice to see Zarco keep improving on the best looking bike on the grid. Pec daddy grabbing something from the jaws of death rings a familiar bell. He uses to be able to get away with it but 93 the first into the 1:36’s lol.
Ogden taken out of qualifying by Rossi, two weeks after he was taken out on the final bend of the race in 6th by Almansa who starts in 4th with no penalty tomorrow. Moto 3 is a cut throat series.
At least Bagnaia smiled and did not appear as tense at the end of the Sprint race as he was in Thailand. See what tomorrow's main event brings. Recalibrate, focus on beating Alex, enjoy staying on the bike and bagging points and trophies. Glass half full and all that......
Going to be one serious slog this season. Even the sprints are completely processional. As I said two weeks ago 93 should have been handed the title in Buriram. I have no reason to change my mind especially hearing the Jorge news. The only person who’s beating him is himself. COTA next and we all know how well he goes round there even on a shit bike.
Thank god for moto 3 fabulous race. Piqueras is some talent just needs to reel it in a bit (and his dad by all accounts). Rossi two separate long lap penalties haha. Scott Ogden says hi mate.
