Now is your chance to own a Ninja e-1, well its a hybrid (it won't be heavy and boring - honest): https://www.visordown.com/news/deal-save-ps4300-kawasaki-ninja-e-1-electric-hybrid
Its much worse than a KTM too. Its allegedly a hybrid that has somehow lost its petrol component and has a 38 mile range. What a load of crap.
I’m so confused how this made it to market! With today’s data analytics and customer insight they surely had to have a fair idea this wouldn’t sell well
I was at OYB on Saturday. They cannot give the electric or hybrid Kawasakis away. Discounts are unbelievable and still zero sales. It’s a loss leading exercise to show what they can engineer I think.
I don't think the UK is the target market. In countries where riders use their bikes for commuting year round, this will make a lot more sense. The UK is a small market compared to France, Italy and Spain.
“You could get your hands on the 2024 model for as little as £3,395 which is £4,300 below its market value.” Pantomime time… “OH NO IT ISN’T…”
Kawasaki missed the design brief on that bike so badly it’s almost as painful as all the uk motorcycle media who gave it positive reviews because they are that scared not to get another invite to a launch.
38 miles!!!! That's no use!!! I test rode a Harley Livewire 1 last year and it was an absolute hoot (in a very very good way) but that has 100 miles or so range, and that's still not enough really. Maybe as a 20 or 30 miles each way commuter but no good for anything else really.
