1299 Panigale R Undersea Plug

  1. Afternoon all,

just doing some work in my Panigale R, fitting pillion pegs so my little lass can go out in the back.

Also I’m fitting a quad lock with an Evotech mount and a battery tender cable for the Skyrich Charger I got with bike.

However under the cover was a cable that looks like it might be a battery tender cable and a plug that it looks like it uses. Does the bike already have a tender cable fitted and then I just attach the cable to that plug (yellow plug) when I was to put it on the tender. This would be ideal.

Any advice is great fully received.

    Marc

  2. Connector in lower picture looks like an Optimate charger connector. The yellow one i am not sure.

  3. Yeah that what I thought but never seen the 4 pin connector on one before and it looks like they make go together. Might dig out my multimeter and see if there is 12v at connector.
Saves having loads of cables coming off battery…

  4. The 4 pin connector is the bike’s diagnostic connection. The cable you have is an adapter to be used to hook up a charger.
Personally, I’d hook up a charger lead directly to the battery. It avoids blowing the fuse on the diagnostic circuit, which can and does happen.
