Anyone who knows who makes the rear stand that looks like it has the handle cut off, scoured the internet & can't find anything like it. I've only ever seen them in dealers workshops & have no idea if they are a Ducati workshop tool, nothing listed against service tools for the 1198 either Cheers in advance Andy
Do you mean something like this 1990’s early 2000’s transit stand ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/31648409...kgwqRNt8WM2LesuTSZJ4JVKO0=|tkp:Bk9SR4Coocq4ZQ Andy
That’s okay, you don’t have to. Only fits the 916/748/996 small bore rear axle and to be fair, it’s not a paddock stand, the bikes were delivered with it fitted in the transit case. Andy
Pit bull stands are only available in USA unfortunately, would be nice to be wrong on that as they are good stands I believe
Lifted this from their t&c’s. International If you place an order to be shipped outside the USA, you will be responsible for customs, duties, and any customs brokerage fees incurred. They are not billed to Pit Bull and therefore not part of any shipping quote you receive. If you refuse to pay any of those fees, the shipment will be returned to Pit Bull at your expense and shipping costs(both ways) will be deducted from any refund. Please contact your local customs office to determine what your local import duties/expenses may be. We do business in the USA and do not keep track of international duties and/or taxes. Found a post from several years ago, stating international shipping costs being quoted were over 100$US so they clearly don’t want your business. Andy
I brought mine with me. As much as I like it, I wouldn’t go through that to get one. I’m about to start searching for one made here for my wife’s ZX6R.
Nice stand but not sure why there is no connection between the 'feet'? Doesn't seem to be structurally efficient.
tis round the back... works well, at least better than the 916sp short stand i have in the cellar with an adaptor on it...
Open a "NY Box" account and you can order anything you want from the US, even from suppliers who don't offer international shipping. I have had one for years. It's basically a holding address (you can choose between one in New York or one in Delaware, the latter avoids paying US sales tax on the goods) NY Box then send you a photo of the consignment and an email confirmation when it arrives at their warehouse and you pay them the onward shipping costs to the UK. They can also order products on Amazon.com that aren't available in the UK. If you order more than one item from different suppliers, they can also combine them into one package to reduce shipping costs. Note that this method does not absolve you of UK Duty, if Customs and Excise choose to levy it (which they don't always do on every shipment)
