Tracker ?.

  1. Hi all . As some may know I bought a low mileage 1299s last year . Now my biketrac tracker has gone haywire. I spoke to a kind lady on the phone and she said ,a new chip would be sent out foc. However before I dismantle the bike any further , could someone pm me where they are usually placed. She had no idea as it was up to the installer. Cheers.

  2. Depends how lazy the installer was and where there's space on your bike. Biketrac unit is about the size of a TV remote. Will need to be wired to constant + and - as well as an ignition switched + feed. Start at the battery terminals, if there's no additional wires/eyes there to trace back to the unit then you'll have more of a search on your hands.

  3. Cheers mate. No additional wires from the battery . Bugger.

  4. Great you have a decent install then. Both of mine have been poor if the truth be told. Remedial action required on my part to improve.

Good luck finding the unit. Just to confuse, mine isn't the same as the one that Chris linked to.

  5. Mine was fitted by the Ducati dealer that prepared the bike, and if you can identify who fitted yours they may be able to help?
    I realise its a long-shot, but it's an option.
    Good luck.
    Tom.

  6. Cheers mate. The bike is from seastar super bikes . I Will give them a call.

  7. A few years ago, when one of mine stopped working properly, Biketrac sent out an engineer to replace it, foc.
