1200 DVT Electronic Woes - Solved

  1. My 2017 Strada T is having some seriously frustrating electronic issues. It went into limp home mode last August and honestly I have not had the will to try and tackle it... until now.

I have DCT and DWC flashing on the dash as an error, as well as the DSS error (which has been intermittent for some time). so I picked up an obdstar and scanning I get the following

So I clearly need a new front accelerometer! that is on order, but I dont know what to make of the U100B DTC/DWC error, BBS U2929 error and the P2127 error.

So far I have checked all of the accessible connectors around the headstock and given them a squirt of contact cleaner, opened up, cleaned and reassembled the throttle sensor (that spring was fun :/) but at this point I am out of ideas.

I did replace the starter cables last year but have not had any real issues with cranking (my job tomorrow is to double check these to make sure there is a good connection) but I dont think these will be related to my circuit to ground errors.

The bike is not pampered, and corrosion has been an issue for some of the externally facing parts, but I have not yet found any evidence on any of the electricals

Not a problem to take a bike to pieces but electronics are not something I am especially good with!

Any suggestions, advice, or where I can find a reliable list of the error code meanings would be really appreciated!

  2. If it was me would replace that part retest and see what codes disappear.

  3. When my rear wheel speed sensor failed there were a host of other, knock-on, errors that were all resolved by replacing the sensor.

  4. thanks, ordered a throttle too and will replace both and retest - will update with more info when that's done

  5. For anyone who comes across this in the future - it was the accelerator position sensor on the throttle; swapped with a used part and all of my errors went. Once I replace the front accelerometer sensor I will be back to a fully running multi :)
