https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/19714969...WK1XnSHSLy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Serious money asked for mk3 superlight.
This one at ardingly yesterday, 1996 / 916 Bip in tidy order. I spoke with the owner briefly and the previous owner that was on site, starts at £11k.
Ah!, but I bet yours isn’t the super rare 5 speed model! Also says low miles but think it has over 13k, which isn’t really low from a collectors view point, which is the audience the seller must be aiming at at that price…imho…
I was going to question the 5 speed gearbox. This makes mine look an absolute bargain! However, what it’s advertised for and what it sells for are 2 different things
That will either sit there for ages or price will drop. I sometimes wonder if it’s someone putting it for sale due to some pressure or other, but not really wanting to sell.
Anyone care to tell me what’s wrong with this advert ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/26721173...k1S9P+FRUXGuLXVZwbFu+lhg==|tkp:Bk9SR46A_LzBZQ. It’s not a scam but it is a scam Andy
Go on then, tell us what the scam is. They seem to have a lot of very high end very expensive cars for sale.
Business sellers of used vehicles can only charge VAT on their profit not the whole purchase price. If a VAT registered buyer purchases the vehicle and claims the VAT back, they are cheating the Inland revenue and if a private buyer purchases the vehicle, they are being ripped off, big time. Andy
That’s not true. Check out vat qualifying vehicles. If it was bought by a business for strictly business use you can claim the vat back. When you sell it you owe vat on it, so you have to sell it at a fair price plus vat and pay the vat amount to HMRC. Unless another business buys it and they can claim the VAT back. Once the VAT has been paid to HMRC once, it is no longer vat qualifying. And that’s how it works. So be careful saying everybody is a rip off merchant when ignorance is often mistaken for arrogance.
The research I did before posting, was pretty clear that the seller of a used vehicle to a non VAT registered customer can only charge VAT on his profit, not the whole amount. If that is not the case, I’ll happily delete the post. Andy
