Bloody disk locks...I've taken out 2 carbon mudguards over the years...I only fit them to the rear now.
I've been up since 7am doing stuff around the house (still loads to do). Just stopped to have some breakfast and paid the balance for my new bed which should now be delivered in the next week.
Jet washed the bottom path and the drive and then refitted the car parts that the new toy had refreshed. It’s a trimmer that refreshes the edge of a wiper blade, effectively extending its life. Comes with 2 depths of cut so each blade can be refreshed twice. Cost me £10 when I picked it up although there are various knock offs all over the internet for less. Wipers tested and like new
Rearranged the last bits in the garage and prepped the 750ss ready for the summer. Just need the new battery to turn up and it will be good to go.
Replaced the failed Sanivite unit in the kitchen, as the old one had packed up. Luckily I was in the kitchen when the old one failed - otherwise the washing machine would have probably flooded the floor.
Spent most of the day in the garden drinking g&t’s. Did a mega bbq, and now watching some Bourne films
Been up since 7am again and doing stuff around the house whilst Doris isn't here (so I can get on with things unhindered). Now having breakfast whilst I wait for the turf company, a plumber, and a local handyman to turn up and do their stuff today. Oh and I've got a delivery due from IKEA.
Just had a visit from the postman and now have a shiny new Hampshire County Council concessionary bus pass. Had no idea the bus pass is valid throughout England and includes TfL busses. Andy
Put a bid in for a signed pecco pole position cap in the blind moto gp auction for Ukraine. I so hope I get it haha
Just arrived at a little cottage were staying at for the week in the lake district. Weather is sunshine, all week!
Washed the bikes. Feeling on a roll, I then washed the car. Still unfulfilled, I leapt into leather treatment for the interior and pink stuff on everything thing else. Getting up to speed now, I polish the exterior. The wheels deserved some TLC -so they got it. Finished with "ceramic exterior plastic treatment" (wet wipes infused with some gloop). My hands are dry and a bit sore!
Went for a lovely walk around Aira force this morning. Spent a good 3 and half hours there with the kids walking through the stream and stopping for a picnic. Then back home for a drink and dinner before heading off out for another walk, hopefully.
I've not stopped all day........today I've had the lawn turfed (finished off), sorted out my gas and electricity supply, and built an IKEA sofa bed up for one of the spare bedrooms/dressing room. Tomorrow I will be mostly building a Habitat vanity/dressing table for the dressing room too.
