What Are You Watching......?

  1. Watched the first episode of The Studio, starring Seth Rogen.

Follows a legacy Hollywood movie studio striving to survive in a world where it is increasingly difficult for art and business to live together.

Was really good, I’m going to enjoy this.

  2. Saw this today. Definitely worth a watch!

  6. "Normal People" on BBC iPlayer. A gentle, well cast, acted and beautifully shot coming of age romance set in Sligo and Dublin. Self and partner were captivated by it last night and binged 5 episodes.

Maybe not totally coincidentally my other half was in Dublin last weekend. She went to see her niece, who's making inroads with her music career, play support to Nell Mescal, an Irish singer songwriter. Nell's bother Paul is the lead male part in Normal People.

  10. Watched first episode of Mobland. After KIN, Gangs of London and Love Hate it’s got a tough act to follow in my opinion. Not sure about Tom Hardy, always seems to play a similar part and Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan doing an Irish accent is annoying.

Early days and I’ll stick with it as Director Guy Ritchie wrote Gentleman which was excellent.

  11. I prefer Tom Hardys earlier films but he did stop that moped thief a few years ago so I’ll always like him for that.
Edit: I liked him in The Bike riders.

  12. Stopped watching a couple series in. Couldn’t face it. Mis treatment or women is a real stopper for me and only so much I can bear to watch, even if it’s good

  13. That’s a shame as the parallels reflected on todays brave new American world order are astonishing.

  14. Agree. It’s like many see it as a how to guide rather than a dystopian warning. Mrs loves it and has watched them all to date. It’s like the mad Christian’s and the Muslims got together and write a guide to how to treat women.

Did you see that couple had a baby from a. Womb transplant recently? Cue more people and parts smuggling….

  15. Glad one of the household has seen it through. Like 1984, Slaughterhouse five, Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World and many others, these are must read/ watch/ understand novels. And vert apt given today’s recent events.

About to google womb transplant next!

  16. It’s amazing that with medical intervention you can transplant most things. But as always, what starts with great intentions quickly because exploited by the worst of humanity

New series of Grace has started, which isn’t too bad and worth a watch if you like crime drama

  17. The Last of Us S2.
That mardy bitch needs a good slap...:D
