Before I spend £70, yes £70 on one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361939561667 Does anyone have one they are not using any more and wish to sell? Perhaps you've sold your bike it fitted and it doesn't fit the replacement. I'm convinced it would be a really good lightweight/space saving thing to have in the toolkit on my 1260 Enduro for when I'm off doing some longer distances. Thanks.
Just check these Harley spindle spanner, still 36mm 12 sided. Bit of a bargain they are. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18706866...8eBzoLXuyjTkwqEhg-R-jQaX2cGgLnXA&gad_source=1
Not that I advocate the use of sockets made from aluminium, this, https://iconicparts.uk/shop/ols/products/ducati-drive-axle-socket, is an alternative which the double sided swing arm nuts don’t have to torque to 230Nm. Andy
Alternatively.. https://iconicparts.uk/shop/ols/products/ducati-drive-axle-socket Although for that price I would probably sacrifice the space/weight and pop over to Halfords.
Thanks guys. A full size normal 36mm Bi-Hex socket is huge compared to the specially made duel size, or even single size, ones. I'd not be using it at home, I have good quality normal sockets in my workshop in the right sizes, but as a semi-emergency measure an Aluminium one might be OK.
The single sided swing arm wheel nut spanner, made in aluminium has an awful reputation BUT as I said 230Nm and penny to a pinch, using the incorrect tool (impact driver). You should be fine (fingers crossed). Andy
