JP is the UK’s best chance of retaining a British round of the MotoGP and rumour has it, Donington might be in line for a multi million pound upgrade that should get it FIM Class A accreditation which is what it needs to hold MotoGP. Like him or loathe him, he’s the only person keeping short track motorcycle racing alive in the UK. Andy

How many rounds into the season before the new sponsors start to feel the reality of how much it costs to compete at BSB and the team needs new backing. About halfway through the season is my guess.
Certainly more than the increased revenue from the additional exposure of their ‘competition’ business but hey, the sponsor’s most recent annual tax filing says they made just under £4million profit …….. from selling raffle tickets Andy
