Wsb - Assen - Spoilers

  1. How did Oncu get the win when he shoved Masi off the track?! Poor race decision

  2. Classic Assen finish isn’t it. “Racing incident” followed by someone riding over the green paint.
We all knew it was coming.

  3. And they penalised the guy who had to move or crash.

  4. Bulega will be seething this morning still

  5. Am I the only one that fast forwards through quite a bit of the races? Assen was better racing than it has been but I dunno, I just find WSBK has lost the interest. I’ve probably answered my own question, but the likes of Honda are just nowhere even now, and I think they need to peg Ducati and BMW back way more aggressively to bunch the field right back up

  6. Artificial levelling beyond the formula ruleset always sounds like a race to the bottom. If there is no advantage to having the best bike, best rider, best team, because if you succeed, you get penalised, then maybe Honda could field a team of amateurs on a near standard bike and let the level drop to their new standard? I love close racing, but Ducati were in the wilderness for a long time, and BMW were nowhere until recently, so I don’t think the years and millions spent should be negated because of “the show”.

  7. I think it’s all about balance, definitely not about taking 50hp off Ducati etc, it’s fine if they have more power etc, but actually also, to flip your argument on its head, Bulega is being criminally under paid because they know it’s borderline tbe only bike on the grid that can consistently win (you can’t argue the bmw is a consistent winner when only Toprak has won on it).

so if the bikes were really level, the salary would be higher for those really amazing riders that can make the difference
