Idle Setting Screw

  1. Have had to pull the carbs off my 93 900 due to blocked pilot jet, cleaned and replaced, only the float chambers opened and nothing else touched. When reinstalling I replaced the very old throttle cables making sure I had the correct part numbers for the opening/closing. Back in with correct slack on both. Noticed the butterflys were completely closed with the idle screw as previously set, wound in as far as it will go and only have about 1.5mm opening on the butterfly if that which I'm pretty sure is not enough, given the pulley is keyed on the shaft and couldn't rotate, I'm stumped as to why this has happened and dont want to put it back together with no adjustment left.
    Anyone have a suggestion?
