ah, ok. whisky and sewage dont mix...chortle. the saying comes from a boat building friend of mine. it's supposed to be a warning not to get pissed on boats. i say, fugim.
They’re happy to, but I’d rather get it done at the same time. Less hassle, plus they’re getting booked up.
I was told by Coventry that the 1st service light had to be on before they could reset it? They put my bike on a rolling road for about 15 miles so the light came on.
I’m sure I’ve read somewhere, you need to do 60 miles or so over the service mileage for the workshop to be able to reset the indicator. I could of course be making that up Andy
yip, same with my sons Aprilia. the tech just took it for a test run and reset it after. my 848 went in for a service and i had timed it to be on the millage when i got there (about 100ml trip) i was around .5 of a mile short. i picked it up at closing time. yip, rode the .5 and the light came on. and still is
bought my SP2 with 250 miles on so they did the first service before they delivered it as it is 18 months old and they wanted to make sure it was tip top. assumed that would have to drop in to turn off the service due indicator but apparently they can now turn them off in advance and now at nearly 1k miles with no light
Isn't that because of the km to mile conversion. First service is at 1000km, which is around 621 miles, not 600 as the service book says.
My 21 V4 Multi was 621 miles when the service alert came one but my 24 DesertX came on @600 miles so they seem to have tweaked it a bit . It did surprise me as I had planned to arrive at the dealers for the service @ just over 621miles . I say still plan on 621 miles minimum to ensure .
My dealer said 750 miles wouldn’t be an issue, so if we have a dry weekend next weekend, I’ll have a spoon over to the Cotswolds, then get it booked in. I’m off to France in the car early May, so mid May would be fine.
I saw the pic and thought you had cleaned the sprocket carrier or something. Didn’t spot the flat. Thats a pain, hopefully fixable without need of a new one.
Decided to buy the knox honister mk2 jacket and orsa gloves, should be here Tuesday/Wednesday. Hopefully picked the right size.
