I’ve always been into camping, and have done the whole range from very basic lightweight carry everything on your back whilst hiking to full blown portable Bungalow plugged into the caravan electric hook up to give proper lights and fridges etc on 2 week family holidays. I’ve not been camping on a motorcycle for many years, so am assessing my current gear with a view to a couple of weekend trips this year now I’ve finally got myself a Multistrada. My current 2-Man(1.5-man) has been great over the last 10yrs or so, but is worn out. It’s also quite big when packed and heavy for a 2-man, but that hasn’t mattered because it’s only been used when camping out the back of my Land Rover or on the beach having arrived by boat. I’m happy that I know enough to assess and choose a normal tent to throw on the back of my Multistrada, taking into account quality, weight, packed size, and cost etc, but I can’t ignore the slightly larger tents that offer a Garage for the bike, such as the Redverz Atacama, Mototent or far cheaper Vanit equivalent. Does anyone have one? Would a Multistrada Enduro with standard Mirrors and slightly taller screen fit? Is the additional weight, size, and cost worth it? The benefits I can think of are mainly a little more security, as in out of sight of prying eyes, and yes, it would be nice to get the bike out of the overnight weather, and if nothing else the morning Dew. Many years ago I’d camp from a bike with just a long groundsheet. Park the bike a 1/3 of the way along, throw it over the bike and peg it out the other side to form a basic shelter. Any residual heat in the engine took the edge off if it was cold, but I’m not sure the tents mentioned above would benefit in the same way. .

I have this for simple roadtrips. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-2-seconds-easy-2-person-freshandblack/_/R-p-308355 cheaper here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15691721...iDX1b3duVxEKcpQPUWEVm8uKet|tkp:Bk9SR9TS4dzLZQ There's an awing available too, but your newest bike is probably demasiado grande. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-awning-2-seconds-easy-fresh/_/R-p-335656 Its the absolute king of small tents, and genuinely take seconds to put up. No leaks and black interior means you can sleep past sunrise.
Definitely cool, in law has one. But dayum do they pack big. Granted everything is in there including bed roll. My set up is still a lot smaller individual rolled up
If I’m on the road and push comes to shove, I’ll doss in my van. Otherwise it’s the nearest Hilton for me. Fuck that camping shit. That’s just people with money pretending they’re homeless
I just like Camping, have done since I was a kid, and have passed the enjoyment of it on to my boys. I just wish it was easier in this country to wild camp like it is elsewhere.
Agree with that, was thinking about dartmoor next for wild camping. Or if you can find campsites like the Norfolk brickyard, that place was pretty cool. As off grid as you could possibly make a campsite
Only kidding lads, crack on My brother does ultra marathons… fekin lunatic… he likes camping n’all. When he’s not walking around in the pissing rain in The Lake District
Not sure if this'll be of interest, but lots of favourable reviews and a good price. Nothing to do with me, just saw the advert this morning and passing on. https://www.ktmforum.co.uk/threads/...dheim-2.1400138/?post_id=6010740#post-6010740
In my extensive camping kits I have a tent bright yellow that I can't remember the name of,...which you put motorcycle in porch area. It's the first one pictured on this web page. SEE BELOW PAGE https://www.adventurebikerider.com/article/9-of-the-best-tents-on-the-market-for-motorcyclists/ Before it was Redverz it was something else, expidition yes but i don't recall the initial branding. Are you near Southam Warwickshire you could come to the farm & set it up??
