Buzzing/vibration/rasping

  1. Does anyone else notice a buzzing/vibration/rasping around 32-34mph in 2nd gear on their 2013 Multi? Also at 46-49mph in 3rd.

I've checked the screen-holding bolts and they're fine, and all of the other visible bolts appear to be tight.

  2. I get some sort of resonance at around 3000 revs. Had a good look at the bike the only thing it could be is the aftermarket cylinder head protector which had one of the screws a quarter undone. Haven't had a chance to test it yet but hopefully that's it.

  3. There was an earlier thread re a similar issue. I bet it's the bloody screen. I have tightened, removed and replaced but it still buzzes. "A characteristic of the bike sir"

  4. +1

  5. I posted on this previously and it is the screen. Following advice I tightened the screws which improved things but didnt fix it completely. However at my 600m oil service I complained about the noise only to be told it is a known issue requiring a different rubber spacer (the tech delighted in showing me both old and new) problem now sorted.

On enquiry it is not a recall but the spacer will be replaced FOC during a service 'if' raised as an issue.

  6. Buzzing/vibration/rasping, sounds like bedtime at a convent !!!

  7. I thought that therapy had got you over that

  9. Which dealer was this? What does the new spacer look like - is it something we can knock together?

  10. Ducati Aylsbury, it was basically a rubber washer. The new one was 2-3mm thick with a cm hole the old one was only 1mm but the same diameter

  11. A full race Termi also 'solves' the problem :)
