  1. Well with the exception with sun glare to the left and the dark rock in the background giving the impression of a multi’s beak, yes agreed, words are indeed not needed

  2. Kids went out for a ride up and down the road in FIL side car. Eldest said he now understands why I love bikes so much :D. I only just about fit in at 6ft 3 and FIL wants to drag me to the elephant rally in it in the future :joy:

  3. Such a cool thing to do with your kids! I tried to do the same, but the trouble and strife wasn't having any of it...:(

  4. Sometimes it's not worth the hassle, I am surprised my eldest even wanted to go on. But then I have slowly been feeding into the idea of me and him riding off on little adventures when he's old enough to ride. Planting that seed I guess

  5. Ex let me take my daughters out on a rented Paggio MP3 in Majorca, they absolutely loved it. Great twisty mountain roads between Pollença and Port de Sóller with ex, plus other daughter waiting her turn, following in the hire car. The 500cc three wheeler was a hoot.

Once back in the UK I bought full kit for them that got used once or twice

  6. Do you see a lot of them out there? No 1 son is off on his first lads holiday in June and knowing the gang, they'll end up renting scooters. He's never ridden anything with two wheels and an engine, so a three-wheeler would be a good option for him (and probably the others).

  7. I did see quite a few on the road being ridden by locals, this intrigued me as I'd always wanted to try one, especially the larger 500cc variant, but didn't see any that were obvious hire bikes.

It was back in 2016, manged to find the place I rented it, called Mallorca Rent Me, it's in Port de Pollença. If I recall I don't think the MP3 was actually on their website. I just noticed it outside, with their stickers on, when walking past the shop when we visited the tow. We were staying in Pollença just a few miles inland. Given the opportunity I just had to scratch that itch and try one... Arranged rental for the following day and came back at opening time in the morning. This was 9 years ago though, their fleet will have changed since.

  8. Fitted the seat riser parts bought off a member here, along with fittings supplied by @nelly, to the Pikes Peak rider seat. I can now swap between the Touratech seats and the PP seats at will. Choices, choices :D

Yet to fully assess the comparative comfort between the two types. The Touratech ones are proven by over 20,000 miles on my 1260S. The PP seats are far better than the awful original ones on the S, not sure by how much yet. They're now back on the bike to assess before my upcoming trip.

  9. Where are you off to?

  10. Dolomites; out via chunnel, Vosges, Germany, Austria and then Italy for a few days. Return via lakes, Alps and across France to Caen > Portsmouth ferry home.

  11. Sounds great. My mate isn’t up for a big bike trip this year, so I’m looking at renting an AirBnB in the south of France for a week, ride down and meet my wife there, who will fly down and get a hire car.

  13. Dropped off the centre stand at powder coaters. Being done for beer so might be a while but a place we use at work and know their work is good. If it stands up to the chemical industry it will do on my bike.

  18. Out of curiosity how big is the puncture? One of those rope plugs not do the trick?

Had one on the m7rr shoulder and it did the trick. Understand err on the side of caution though @ducv2

  19. It was quite big, whatever was in it must have fallen out which was why the tyre deflated so quickly. (Interesting at the speed I was doing)
Out of interest i pumped it up, and it went flat in less than a couple of seconds.
Tyre guy said considering the bike it was on, he wouldn't repair it.
