Tomorrow, EE providing my home broadband should end. I am supposed to be changing to Plusnet. Should be simple but me and EE have history. They still believe that I don't have broadband but just a mobile phone - which I don't. Either way, they won't let me see my account, and the bitterness overflows! Although they don't believe that I have broadband, they charge me for it every month! That's madness in my book, but totally unremarkable according to EE. I've got the Plusnet router but won't plug it in until tomorrow afternoon, but I have zero expectations. Don't do the Ducati Community wank and phone the Police to smash my front door in at 2 o'clock in the morning, expressing surprise that I was asleep and not posting.
It is dark now but O2 mmobile signal is fine, (which EE don't believe is possible, so can use phone) off to Fowlers for the morning before trying Plusnet.
Loads of shit to sort, but my PC is working and WiFi from one phone working perfectly,so very good! Went to Fowlers this morning to gander. Apparently CFMoto (who were KTM, really) have split off to go their own way. Couldn't get on a Husqvarna Svartpillan 801 as it is just too tall for me. The guy said that a KTM Duke 790 will be the same, but it wasn't, and it was absolutely fine. I realise that this is now, but there is some deal on now, putting the KTM Duke 790 at just under £7 grand. That is mad. Although tempted, I will wait until my compensation money turns up in the year dot, before getting one. They had a used Ducati Scrambler there for sale, but the KTM is far better. They had at least six Harleys there that have all been taken in p/x. Around 4-8000 miles and thousands pissed up against the wall, only to bin it after a few years. Speaks volumes for the brand! They need to get in Trump as an advisor!!!!
The owners are now deaf, have realised there aren't interesting any straight roads, & have run out of chrome polish?
I assume that Fowlers know what they are doing, but I just don't get it. They would of given peanuts for those Harleys I would think. They have to be quite business like as the business will have costs. They have a fair few staff who won't be on huge money I would think, but it is still a cost. The site will be worth a fortune. It's within walking distance of the centre (a good walk) and close by is Bristol Temple Meads Train Station. With the now faster electric trains, getting to Swindon, Didcot, Reading, and London is a breeze, plus you have Bristol itself on the doorstep. And then you have the other direction towards Plymouth. And Bath about half an hour. And they would get planning for hundreds of flats, easily. Even if Bristol Council gave them grief (which I would doubt ) they could go to appeal and would definitely win as Bristol is mad short of housing with juicy property values on top! I know that they are profitable, but there is always the temptation to just bale, as the family get older. I just hope they don't as Fowlers is a really good place to go!
