  4. Ok here this.
Carole Nash said best this year was £611 and I'm a year older, 10 years NCB.
Had one quick call to Hastings direct; with a 28 day ban last year SP50 (stupid laser wagon thing on Staines bypass...103mph...never saw the 50MPH sign...was braking)
Only £342..£408 with full business use.
    Should I still shop around?

  5. A little background would be helpful and who's the insurer?

  6. I am with highway insurance (Adrian Flux) who apparently don't like mods :D Anyway I am paying £250 with 4 yrs NCB, no points, but a no fault accident with my car (wtf there is relevance in this i'll never know), same age as you ACT. Got my mods including my exhaust and remap added :upyeah: Just for your info, when i had my no fault accident, my next renewal was huge, as they said i was now a risk due to being rear ended by some brainless chick. No surprises I shopped around and got it cheaper elsewhere than i paid the year before.

My guess is its the SP50 you had, they B* will do anything to up the premium, defo worth shopping around mind you as some will be more friendly to previous accidents/incidents with the Polis

  12. Some unbelievable quotes on here, I can't figure out how they can go from around 80 quid to 700 plus????!!@@#][[-===:S

Maybe its coz the Multi is so UGLY :D ;) lol

Also when you phone some of the named insurers and say what they are to get price match they just laugh??

  13. no because too many W********S watch Jeremy f******G Kyle with its advert breaks saying "where there's a blame there's a claim" and us motorists have to apply to cover insurance companies losses

    Rant Over

  14. I bought my 11 plate MTS1200 ABS in June this year.
Before I got it I had a 3 bike policy with Bikesure. age 54,n Wales, full no claims. £425 fully comp for a 12 plate Norton 961, 57 plate Ducati 1098 and a 05 plate Blackbird. (they blame the Norton for high price)
In June I part exed the 1098 and Blackbird for the ABS Multi and Bikesure said the insurance would cost the same so I only paid £25 for the changes.
Will deffo be calling MCE when the renewal is due though!

  15. 'der' watch out with MCE though. I phoned and got quoted £230 for mine (details in this thread). Then online with a comparison site got £175 with an excess £250 (with MCE); less than the phone quote. ALL the details on phone and via the puter were the same so try both then pay the lowest MCE quote. I did :upyeah:

  16. This years renewal just arrived, £191!!! :)

Living in Belfast I usually get shafted when it comes to insurance but the last few years things are getting better.

    MTS1200
    Modifications - none
    Fully Comp - social use 4k p/a
    Age 32
    5 YRS NCD
    0 Penalty points
1 non- fault accident in '10 when a car pulled out (and I broke a GSXR in half)
Kept in a secure garage with a insurance approved chain lock

  17. Definitely. I'm 57, writer, TW9, two speeding endorsements, riding since 1972, no mods. Paying £250. Do have a tracker though and bike is garaged. Try Ducati insurance. Good luck!

  18. That's for unlimited use with passenger cover too.

  19. With who? dont keep it a secret!

  20. Ok.
Now my head hurts...been calling around Bennetts, Bike Sure and MCE the range of prices is amazing.
MCE was £342 and Bennetts gave me this for EXACTLY the same cover and information!!!!
