  1. I could do with a little help on this one!. After changing my front link pipe i now have a full leo vince sytem fitted to my 796 hyper. This was causing a few fueling issues:rolleyes:, which i thought installing a power commander 5 with the correct map would cure the problem. This did for a short time!, now all i seem to get is the engine management light on:mad:, and the fuelling issues start again. This used to be intermittent but now the light seems to be on all the time. Has anyone had the same issue and how can i sort it out please. Cheers Rob:upyeah:

  2. I was told of a fix, where you start the bike and leave it running for 15 mins without touching the throttle. this apparently resets the ECU to the new system. My good friend, who is a bike salesman gave me the tip so it's pretty reliable although I havent triend it myself.

  4. Nope, that won't work.

The ECU is looking for the exhaust valve and the lambda sensor, both of which you have now disconnected.

You can either purchase a new/second-hand ECU that matches your exhaust system, or you can reflash your current ECU to the correct map.

Either way you will need to have your PC5 remapped to allow for the extra fuel.

You could also get your current ECU reflashed to disable the valve and sensor, which would mean you wouldn't need to touch your PC5.

If you want to do it yourself, you can use the Ducati Diag software, and it will cost you €100 for a licence.

  7. The 796 HM uses the Siemens M3C ECU so I'm sorry I can't help out

  8. thanks again for help!. Sod's law no light on bike last, rode home like a dream. Don't know how long it will last, but good for now. I think I will have to bite the bullet and take it to Dynomap tuning near Exeter as they are a tuning centre. Cheers rob
