Whats the chances any of you guys have any idea what the metal composition is in the standard magnesium fairing stay? I need to know what rods to buy to do a weld on it :/

haha i know! i was hoping just the one mount hole would hold the mirror steady but its a wee bit wobbly! Got a mate that can do it cheap but he needs to know what the metals mad of otherwise it wont work! its a damn site easier getting yours fixed than mine as mine was shattered into about 50 pieces lol!
Sorry do not know but I got mine welded up by Motorapido. They subbed the job out so if you ring them they would probabley put you on to their welder who would be able to tell you. It lasted 18 months but went again so have got a new one. They charged me £30 so it might be worth just sending them the bits and getting them to do it for you Regards Steve
