Hello all, just joined your forum because I finally gave in and bought a '98 916 today! Its the first Ducati I've owned since I had an 860GTS back in the 80's....so a bit behind the times!! Its all fairly original as far as I can tell, low mileage (11k) and little used recently....the plan is to give it a thorough checkover and service over the winter...then use it next spring hopefully. I'll be doing all the work but thought I'd post here to find some info on particular things to look out for, also hoping to find one or two bits that need replacing...haven't looked to see if theres a wanted section yet!

Welcome...916 is a nice(est) bike...hope you've got a good back as that riding position is not the best for comfort.
Welcome I have just returned and bought a low miles 996,I have also started buying bits and pieces. Forum is good plenty of help if needed.
Heres one of the new bike but nothing of the old 860....don't think I even owned a camera at the time! Know what you mean about backs but not planning on anything too long distance.... Btw, anyone know why the tach has green numbers and the speedo white? Making a list of bits I'm looking to find and will put it in the wanted section soon...thanks!
