  2. Fitted a set to my Blade today, awesome a tyre that loves bad weather and roads. My winter choice of tyre.

  3. Hi there Neil g. I have pr3's on my yam FJR and they are an excellent all round tyre. Very good wear & very good in the wet. On my second set.

  4. Have had a pair of PR3's popped onto my Monster. I'll be sticking with the Rosso Corsos for the 1098s thou. However, if I take the 1098 to World Ducati week, i'll pop some PR3s on

  5. And? It's a PR3 ... so?

  6. I think that's the PR4. You can tell by the line down the middle of the tread.

  7. The 'Road 4' on the sidewall is the give away:upyeah:

  8. Hope it's half as good as the PR 2s then, the PR3 was a backward step in road holding, and gave plenty of mileage.

  9. In recent years I have had Pirelli Super Corsa'a and Metzler M5's on Blade and Gixer respectively and bought a Multi with PR3's. Gotta say, thus far the most confidence inspiring tyre I have ridden on. Anyone who knows me will tell you a ride like a fanny but these make me feel like a god. On the twisties, my mates on Gixers don't lose me half as quick as they used to and that is purely down to confidence in my part as to what is underneath me.

  10. A visit from the Michelin rep today......
launch the PR4 in jan, as always subject to getting the tyre to the uk, but all on schedule to date,
the PR4 has been tested against the road 3, dry lap = 1sec faster, wet lap 1sec faster (this wet result was not a design target and surprised the engineers at Michelin) Michelin will be making a GT version for heavy bikes (follows bridgestones lead in simplifying special fit numbers) road 1 fades out, road 2 stays and becomes their entry priced sports tourer, road 3 stays as all weather premium choice, Road 4 sits alongside R3 and is the choice for mainly dry users and spring/summer commuters, the price will be rewarded by the mileage!, I believe the price will sit the same as RD3 but yet to be confirmed, as always anyone who decides it's for them then please reply with feedback....we'll have to wait a while though........
    thx Andy

  11. I have a set of p4 and think they are great no regrets

  12. They look fab, I have always been a fan of the pilot rod 2's but since they phased them out last year I am running a set of PR3's which are ok but nowhere near as good in the dry as they squirm about seeing as they have a lot of snipes.:upyeah:

  13. Did a very wet Oulton park track day with PR3's on my Mutley. No issues at all so will put them on again. very happy bunny with the wear and grip. Can be repaired as well which other tyres can't be, so useful if touring.

  14. Just been looking at the Michelin website and can't quite work out how the PR4 sits along side the PR3. What's the improvement/difference?

  15. Hi there, I'm not sure what the difference is. I just have experience of the PR3 which I think is a very good all round tyre, having driven from Aberdeen to Italy (San Marino) and back, experiencing lovely weather/torrential rain en route.

  16. Agree on the PR3, great tyre. Just wondered why we would/wouldn't go for the PR4 instead.

  17. now starting to look, there seems about £30 difference in a pair cost. Be good to know what the real difference is and likely mileage impact

  18. Bradders, do Snells do tyres during service ? As to be honest would rather pay slightly more if they did it, as you know all the pinch bolts etc will be done properly

  19. Yes think they have all the equipment there
