It all depends on the spec. I get paint fulle body kit and tank at rage for less than half of 1400. JHP will still be making money of what you give them.....................
Had a whole Formula II outfit fairing prepared, primed and sprayed three colour plus lacquered for £150 in 1991, which works out to about £225 today I think........ AL
I guess there is money to be saved by sorting it out you self,but there is a bigger picture here,you will have to strip the bike,get the panels/tank etc to the paint shop,reassemble the bike without marking anything or let the dealers do it all for free(not the paitwork obviously)Also on your invoice it will state paintwork so when you come to sell you dont get the old,has it been down the road mate!.If you are buying a new bike from a dealers its up to you to negotiate a deal that is good for you and if you are not happy try another dealer.

Dealer it is then!!. Saves the hassle and gives me some comeback if anything is marked in transit!, or not reassembled properly. JHP will be the way to go for me I think.
You've had work done by Rage personally?. Many posts rate his work, but it's still nice to get a recommendation first hand!
What is the design and creativity like for these companies? I want to put some logos on my SS IE that have not been seen on a Ducati before. If I place them I will defo make a pig's ear of it. Quite often you would never think it would look good to put text where vents are or funny angles etc. I would always play it safe and only put the logos on flat sections of the bodywork etc and I would have no idea on how to balance it or set it off with stripes or other graphics etc
